How to Permanently Delete Your Instagram Account
Delete your account either by going directly to Accounts ownership and control settings in Accounts Centre, or doing the following:
- Go to your profile.
- Tap more options Menu in the top right.
- Tap Accounts Centre, then Personal details.
- Tap Account ownership and control.
- Tap Deactivation or deletion.
- Tap the account that you'd like to permanently delete.
- Tap Delete account, then Continue.
Remember, if you delete your account, you'll lose everything in it (unless you export a copy first). Temporarily deactivating it can be a less permanent solution. In this scenario, click Deactivation instead of deletion in step 5.
